Who we are
[Company name] Ltd (company number [number], registered in England and Wales) runs Glow & Grind, a coffee kiosk at [kiosk address], and this website. Glow & Grind is part of the Glow Collective, alongside Sunkissed Glow. We are the data controller for the personal information described in this policy.
If you have any questions about how we use your information, email [contact email].
What information we collect
We keep this short because we collect very little.
- Your email address, when you sign up to hear about our opening, offers and news. We also record the date you signed up and which form you used.
- Basic technical data, such as your IP address and browser type. Our hosting provider processes this to deliver the website and protect it from attacks.
We do not take payments or bookings on this website. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
How we use your information
| What we do | Lawful basis |
|---|---|
| Email you about our opening, offers, new menu items and news | Your consent, which you can withdraw at any time |
| Keep the website running, secure and protected from abuse | Legitimate interest in running a safe website |
| Answer your questions and handle complaints | Legitimate interest in running the business well |
We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for automated decision-making that has a legal effect on you.
Email marketing
We only email people who have asked us to. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, or you can email [contact email] to be removed. If you unsubscribe, we keep your email address on a suppression list so we do not contact you again.
Who we share your information with
- Klaviyo, Inc. stores your email address and sends our emails on our behalf. Klaviyo acts as our data processor and only uses your information on our instructions. Klaviyo is based in the United States; transfers are covered by the UK–US Data Bridge and Klaviyo's standard contractual clauses. See Klaviyo's privacy notice.
- Cloudflare, Inc. hosts this website and processes technical data to deliver and protect it. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
- Other companies in the Glow Collective, such as Sunkissed Glow, only where you have agreed to hear from them.
- Public authorities, if the law requires it.
How long we keep your information
| Information | How long |
|---|---|
| Email marketing details | Until you unsubscribe, then kept on a suppression list so we do not email you again |
| Enquiries and complaints | 12 months after the matter is closed |
| Website technical logs | As set by our hosting provider, usually no more than a few weeks |
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us to:
- Access: give you a copy of the information we hold about you.
- Correct: fix anything that is wrong or out of date.
- Delete: erase your information.
- Stop marketing: withdraw your consent to emails at any time.
- Restrict or object: limit how we use your information where we rely on legitimate interests.
- Port: send you the information you gave us in a format you can reuse.
To use any of these rights, email [contact email]. We will reply within one month and will not charge you. We may ask for proof of identity first.
Cookies and website storage
This website does not use tracking or advertising cookies. It stores two small items in your browser's local storage: whether you have seen our sign-up pop-up and whether you have signed up, so we do not keep showing it to you. These never leave your device, and you can clear them in your browser settings at any time.
Changes and complaints
We may update this policy from time to time; the date at the top shows when it last changed.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please contact us first at [contact email]. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
